We’re Amy and Jamie Montour and Harpen Acres Candle Co. & Tradeworks is our inspiration. Harpen Acres started as weekend experiments with wax, fragrance, and our favorite playlist—just a fun way to create something meaningful. Before we knew it, those little moments of curiosity turned into something more—but never too serious. We hand-pour soy wax melts and candles created to bring warmth, character, and a little magic into your space.

Creativity and curiosity run deep in our family. Pops, our craftsman extraordinaire, built cigar box guitars and played harmonica alongside blues legends, always shaping the world with his hands and heart. Mondo, with his soulful guitar and endless ideas, added his own rhythm to the mix. Andy—A-Train—was our steady force, a strong Native father who taught us the power of roots, resilience, and showing up for family.

And at the heart of it all? Mama Sue and Sweet Jenny, the women who filled our world with laughter, comfort, and love. Their warmth and unwavering belief in home and togetherness inspire every scent we create.

Proudly based in Beloit, Wisconsin, Harpen Acres is more than a business—it’s a reflection of the people, stories, and traditions that shaped us. We’re creating some really great new items right now!
